The cider sector is looking to the future, with the feet on the ground and the journey to the basque origins.
In December Sagardoa Route was presented, a project that works the present and future of cider houses. The main objective: to work on the constant renewal of cider houses, adapting them to the opportunities that exist today and making possible the possibilities offered. We made the first step by presenting the map of Sagardoa Route and the information about 2017 harvest.
The cider houses are located throughout the Basque territory, and cider is the product that has been born from our land. The cider house and the territory. Our origins and our history This is what this year we have proposed to explain, tell and make known to those who visit Donostia-San Sebastian in summer, or those who want to get closer to enjoy it: Sagardo Tour, an innovative project for this summer.
Sagardo Tour facilitates the journey to our origins, we situate ourselves in them from the perspective of the current world and our resources. The authentic is the valuable, and the authentic is what we will make known.
It will be a real experience: the inhabitants of the municipalities, workers, farmers, shepherds and each of the families that currently run the cider houses.
