EXPERIENCE

The Geopark of the Basque Coast lies between the Bay of Biscay and the inland Basque mountains. You will enjoy a unique landscape of geological formations, cliffs, and sandy beaches where scenes from the series “Game of Thrones” were filmed. We depart from San Sebastian to Zumaia to witness the Flysch rock formations—one of the most stunning natural phenomena along our coast. This visit offers a new and lesser-known perspective on the Basque Coast Geopark. The sea breeze will blend with the aromas of our local products: txakoli and cider. We will visit a txakoli winery, where we will taste this local white wine along with pintxos made with regional products. The route continues to a cider house, where we will meet the family who runs it and tour the orchard and cider-making areas. We will enjoy a tasting of their cider, first from the bottle and then directly from the barrels. The visit concludes with a traditional cider house menu. Afterward, we return to San Sebastian so you can continue exploring our land.

TOUR

Our guide will meet you at 2 Bengoetxea Street, Donostia-San Sebastian. We will visit the Flysch at Zumaia, then continue to a txakoli winery for a tasting of wine and pintxos. Afterward, we will head to a cider house for a short tour of the orchard and facilities. You'll enjoy a cider tasting, first from the bottle and then from the barrels, followed by the traditional cider house meal.
