Presentation of "Sageztia" products at the Iparragirre cider house
The Iparragirre cider house presented its Sageztia (Cider Honey) products in Iparragirre.

Products made with honey from the Aikur beekeepers of Urretxu and cider with the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin were presented, all of them organic. Iparragirre produced three different products, and all three were presented, giving attendees the opportunity to taste them. The project, led by the Leartiker technology center and winemaker Juan Zuriarrain, was initiated a few years ago by the Iparragirre cider house and the Iturrieta and Ola cider houses. After initial testing, the Hernani cider house followed suit. Andoni Mateos Eguzkitza of Iparragirre and winemaker Juan Zuriarrain were in charge of presenting the products. These are the three products, made with apples and local honey and produced organically, without the addition of chemicals:
- Sageztia: A product resulting from the fermentation of Euskal Sagardoa and Aikur honey.
- Sageztia Txikia: Bottled with a sweetness added by the honey to complete fermentation in the bottle. This gives it a special character and sparkle.
- Sparkling Sageztia: A product to which honey is added before bottling, allowing it to undergo a second fermentation in the bottle.
All three products are very special, and all three are different. Sageztia is designed for meals; Sageztia Aparduna is an elegant drink to enjoy with starters or desserts; and Sagezti Txikia is more youthful and livelier, designed for enjoying with friends.
These three products can be found and purchased at the Iparragirre cider house in Hernani or online at www.iparragirre.com
