What was before, the apple or the farmhouse?

The apple is the fruit of the Basque lands, the economic benefit of our farm houses and the base of our main drink. Starting from the mountain slopes of the interior of our territory to the Kristina Enea Park in San Sebastián, the apple has been the queen.

Therefore, we want to work on the meaning of this fruit with the smallest of the family, its connection with the landscape, its relationship with our culture and its current role.

Nature is alive and this vitality of nature has also given this theme freshness. Because the apple is a fruit tree that survives all year round. And the farmhouse, because it has also had a strong Basque base.

The first stones of the "Sagarraren Txokoa" (space of the apple) have been laid by Oihana Unanue Albizuri, turning his knowledge and passion into educational content. Now, Sagardoa Route - Association of Cider Producers of Gipuzkoa, Euskal Sagardoa - Denomination of Origin and Fruitel - Association of Apple Producers of Gipuzkoa want to give a boost to the work carried out by Oihana.

 

The "Sagarraren Txokoa" proposal will have different axes, depending on the season and age. Basically, the main bases will be:
