WEnjoy a unique experience at Barkaiztegi Cider House and immerse yourself in one of the Basque Country's most iconic traditions. Learn about the history of the farmhouse and the family, discover how natural cider is made, and experience the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Basque cider house. During the tour, we will explore every corner of the farmhouse. We will begin in the apple orchard, then continue to the cider-making area where you will discover the secrets behind Basque cider production. Finally, we will visit the different cider cellars, where you will taste cider straight from the kupelas (traditional barrels). After the tour, you will enjoy a traditional cider house menu prepared with high-quality local ingredients and classic Basque recipes.

TOUR

We will meet at Barkaiztegi cider house in Astigarraga for a guided tour visiting the corners of the house and talking about the cider production and elaboration process. The details of each cider will be mentioned and the history of the family and the farm will be discussed. Finally, there will also be the opportunity to taste a traditional cider house menu.
