EXPERIENCE

Discover first-hand all the secrets of Begiristain Cider House and our family, heirs to the oldest cider cellar tradition in the Goierri región of the Basque Country. Through this experience, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of this ancient beverage, so deeply rooted in Euskal Herria. Starting in the apple orchard, we will show you the entire cider-making process. You will visit the production area and our cellars while tasting Euskal Sagardoa, both bottled and straight from the wooden barrels at the traditional call of “txotx”. To round off the experience, you will enjoy the traditional cider house menu: cod omelette, cod in sauce, txuleta (grilled steak), followed by walnuts, Idiazabal cheese and quince paste. Throughout the meal, you will be able to continue tasting different ciders at “txotx”.

TOUR

We will meet at Begiristain cider house in Legorreta for a guided tour through the house. You will learn about the history of the family and the cider-making process. The characteristics of each cider will be explained and finally, you will enjoy a traditional cider house menu.
