Apple varieties: Moko, Patzuloa, Txalaka, Gezamiña, Urtebi Txiki, Urtebi Haundi, among others
Tasting notes:
- Visual note: Intense yellow color, with slight natural cloudiness (unfiltered product).
- Olfactory note: Medium intensity, dominated by fresh fruits, citric fruits, and spicy notes.
- Taste note: Refreshing, balanced between acidity, sweetness, and bitterness. Long finish with hints of ripe fruits.
Pairing: Red meats, blue fish, cheeses, and also ideal for consumption on its own, as an aperitif.
Recommended consumption: 10-12°C. Storage after opening: Up to 3 weeks refrigerated (10–12°C). Shelf life: 12 months.
Alcohol content: 6%.
Cider house Ola
This is a former ironworks dating from the 13th century, one of the oldest in the Basque Country, renovated and converted into a cider brewery. It is located 5 km from Hondarribia and 4 km from the beaches of Hendaye, in the Aiako Harria nature park. It offers the chance to visit a valuable piece of historical-cultural heritage, including mines from Roman times and 17th-century furnaces.
